Staying true to your diet is already difficult. Some of us eat unhealthy when we’re stressed or overworked, others break their diet to celebrate something good in their lives. Now imagine that the Chocolate Factory from Roald Dahl’s legendary book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, was real! Many of us have probably dreamed of visiting such a place where everything is edible and delicious. Do you think you could you survive a day at the Wonka factory with temptations around every corner without breaking your diet?
The engineers over at Advanced Technology Services conducted a fun experiment where they brought Willy Wonka and his chocolate factory to life. They were curious if this fictional operation would be feasible in our world today. They wondered how much it would cost to make this fictional character and factory a reality. From their estimates, this is no inexpensive feat! It would cost Mr. Wonka over $32 million to keep his chocolate river, and that’s only one piece of the factory! We haven’t even talked about the Oompa Loompas, the lick-able wallpaper, or the flying elevator.
